A band of Spanish gypsy musicians invite you to their crazy party to here the entertaining and boisterous tale of their grandfather's burial. Music , theatre , interaction and mayhem combine in this spectacular show for all the family.
One of Spain's leading street theatre companies arrives with their award winning new show.
A production somewhere between a concert and a theatre show the driving force are the Ukranian, Hungarian, Jewish and Russian musical pieces, that thanks to the improvisational skills of the musicians-actors, gets the public involved in a crazy party. Music and theatre join together in an amusing concert for all.
We are invited to Grandfathers funeral. This small band of Spanish gypsy musicians are celebrating grandfather by playing the music he loved during his life. These three men and one woman play drums, violins, guitars and saxaphones. The music ranges from funeral to love songs, through classical to dance tunes. Geoff and I both love music and these magical musicians more than meet my desire for superb playing. Not only do we get to experience an amazingly varied repetoire but also we get pathos and comedy thrown in for free. If you can go to one musicla show let this hidden gem be the one. One Review *****
“Fantastic frienzied music and charismatic characters!” Three Weeks (Edimburgh)
“A sensational show, emotion everytime; In two minutes the audience is completely immersed in the history. Is the first time that here, in the FRINGE Festival, I have seen the actors coming to scene for a second time with audience's claps” Antonella Broglia (Comentarista del Fringe)
